They want some flash to create splash to be relevant. Can we increase our chance to get to the New Year Day bowl.

Can we get an agreement to have a chance at a conference championship to launch us to the bowl game? Can we have an agreement with a conference to be eligible for their championship game even if we don't play a full conference schedule? Even if it was a lessor conference?

So for example the Sunbelt conference. Maybe we schedule a couple of games. Then their CCG (don't know if they play one) takes the two highest ranked teams (not looking at record). If we get in and win then we are the champion and eligible for the bowl game. We don't want to play a full slate of games. Would that work? Is that what Notre Dame does? Troy is ranked 31 and App state is 33. Right now we would not get to the game but could, probably in most years.

That would give us another game. ESPN or the TV contract should like it. Maybe even pay more for the game with the chance of us making the game. Plus some want the chance of playing for a championship game.

I doubt the AAC would give us this and we know the MWC would not. Sun Belt is the next best conference.
