BYU age advantage? # Jake Youngroyd

It seems that everybody tries to excuse (in advance) any chance that they might lose to BYU by complaining about the supposed advantage the "older, more mature and bulked up" Cougars have. The Sports Nation guys pretty much debunked any age advantage by researching the AZU/BYU player ages and finding that there is only about a two month difference. Not too much advantage there, wouldn't you say?
All that said, it's also pretty hard to cry "age advantage" when the game winner just came to camp a week ago, straight from high school, and just ready to send in his mission papers. Time to let the world know that the young(royd) can contribute to wins just like the old can, and politely suggest that they stop whining. " I'll see your 26 year old QB and raise you one RB that isn't even an LDS member (hence just a senior with a redshirt year, just like some of your players) and a pint size 18 year old kicker."
