Best Off-Season Ever?

Post by snoscythe »

For the forum?

There will be plenty to stoke the fires on CougarCorner this offseason, and I'm looking forward to it:

Jake Heaps? or Riley Nelson? or James Lark? Munns as a darkhorse?
Does Unga go pro? Does BYU get two TEs drafted? Does Max Hall go before the 6th round?
Diluigi? Kariya? Q? Hine? Brown? Moore? Phillips?
Will Hague move to FB or will Pili step up?
Who will play TE, and who will move to LB?

When will BSU get invited?

This could be one of the most active off-seasons we have had in recent memory on the boards!

Hopefully there will be some future OOC opponents we can talk about too.

It is going to be exciting to be sure. The only thing I know for sure though right now is that Hine doesn't get back off his mission until at least the 2011 season. He was a 2009 commit that decided to serve first but I'm not sure how quickly he got out. It might not have even been before this season started.

Didn't Holmoe say that there would be an announcement here soon about a future opponent? I think that was a week or so ago. So if the deal went through (when he hinted at it he said it was practically done, they just needed to crosses the t's and dot the i's) we should be hearing about it soon.

Don't forget those discussions about the 2011 recruiting class. Will we get Langi or not, among others.

Off season doesn't start til BYU hoops is done.... for me the season is almost at halftime (and I was at the OU game)

Seriously though, it's not that there's any more or less to talk about, there's just more positive things to talk about.

Don't forget Big10 expansion talk. Plus Olympics are in Feb. That should take our mind off of football for a couple of weeks.

On the basketball forum, we'll talk about MWC championship throes, and hopefully NCAA tournament seeding, and rejoice over finally winning tourney games.
