Rivalry Week Traditions/Superstitions

Post by Lawboy »

Anyone have any great rivalry week traditions or superstitions that they perform during Rivalry Week, or at the big game? Would love to hear them.

BEAT UTAH!!!!!!!

BYU is undefeated in games that I attend wearing a blue mohawk:
vs. Utah 2007
vs. Oklahoma 2009

Sure 2-0 isn't a very large case study, but I think I'll try to make it a Hat Trick against Utah.

A tradition I'm continuing is running onto the field, carrying Max for a while, and then running over to the yewt side and yelling at the players, band, and few real fans they have, and lots of new fans they've recently got since 2008. I remember for some reason the yewt fans weren't leaving, they were just staring along with the band, and I kept yelling "Go Home Losers" and saluted them several times, I hope they enjoyed the traffic. I'll be doing that same thing this year

I also want to add, so called 'fans' will start coming out of the closet AFTER the game.

Ute fan students are so gutless and cowardly, the first week of December if utes do win, they'll show up in ute attire-often black, grey, and stained

however, if utes lose as expected, they won't show anything.

I'm just a regular, everyday normal guy,
I can't afford a car, I use public transportation,
I don't mind, I read till I reach my destination,
sometimes a newspaper, sometimes a book,
the money I save, this stuff is off the hook,

BYU is 1-0 in games where I jump onto the field and get clothes-lined by BYU ROTC cadets. I guess I could try to continue that tradition.

I would like to make a proposal.
I hereby propose a "new" tradition of stomping Utah into the ground every year.
