#5 USC @ #10 Oregon this Saturday
Who wins?
Oregon has the worst passing offense in the PAC-10, and USC (I think) has the best rushing defense. Even so, the Trojan offense this year is the most mediocre I've seen since probably 2001, and can't be relied upon to score enough points in big games.
I think Oregon wins a close one, but I'm not very convinced either way.

Whichever way it goes, I hope it is in blowout fashion so the voters won't leave the teams where they are.

I'd probably lean towards Oregon in this one. I am not convinced that Barkley is USC's next golden boy. It wouldn't surprise me at all if USC won, but I would like to see Oregon win. On second thought, I hope Oregon loses the rest of their games. That will make Boise States lone win against a good team look like less of a good win and put more distance between them and TCU.

I am hoping oregon loses badly which keeps bsu out of a bcs bowl game and puts tcu in (assuming they win out which SHOULDN'T be a problem).
It also makes Utah look worse which always make me feel a little better.

You do have to love this quandary:
Oregon wins out and goes to a BCS bowl game with one loss.
TCU wins out and goes to a BCS bowl game as an undefeated non-AQ.
BSU wins out and probably doesn't get invited to a BCS bowl game even though they're undefeated and gave Oregon their only loss!
Plus, it wouldn't surprise me if USC still somehow managed to get an invite!!
Is there something wrong with the system?!?

I am going to have to pull for the prophylactics in this one to silence the feeling, emotion and good performance of the Ducks.

For the first time in a while, I think USC is vulnerable. Oregon State put up 36 points on them and the Ducks are better than the Beavers....SC will not look past Oregon though, so it ought to be a good game. I think Oregon wins 27-14....

as much as I love putting more holes in the chinks of USC and Pete's invincibility armor, I'd love to see BSU's only scheduling card take a major hit.

USC. I think USC will fall to UofA to end the season any way, leaving TCU only needing to jump Texas and Iowa, who will lose eventually given the "quality" of their play to date. Iowa hasn't been playing well enough to win at the 'Shoe, and Texas hasn't shown me anything to make me think they will run OSU, Kansas, and A&M without a loss.
