well, i asked for the thread so I'd better post! I have to say that this is the first time in a decade that I've watched the NFL. I'm excited to see Collie getting this many great opportunities to score and be seen. He definitely looks like he belongs.

You must mean Nike Swoosh! :)

Seriously, Austin Collie has me watching the NFL for the first time in 15 years. It's good to see him play like he belongs.

I was in beautiful nad scenic Elko, NV yesterday. I grabbed my complimentary USA Today and read while I ate breakfast... in the sports section there was a section called "Studs, Duds and Sleepers" offering help with Fantasy picks, pick-ups and dumps. At the top of the section is a picture of Collie and then a paragraph on why you should pick up this rookie.
With four touchdowns in his past three games, Collie has turned into a virtual must-start. And even if Anthony Gonzalez returns, Collie still be a key player since No. 1 receiver Reggie Wayne is fighting a sore groin.

SI has a great article on Collie... http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/ ... /index.htm
Austin Collie has seen Peyton Manning again, all right. After several clandestine Colts' scouting missions to Utah last fall to watch Collie (who led the nation in receiving yards) and a lengthy debriefing by a team psychologist, Indianapolis general manager Bill Polian chose Collie in the fourth round of the 2009 draft. In the past three months Collie and Manning, strangers at the Manning Passing Academy, have seen more of each other than they have of their wives. The football marriage is a big reason why the Colts head into their annual November showdown with the Patriots on Sunday a very surprising 8--0.

I can't believe that one has mentioned Collie's performance today. He scored another touchdown and was, again, integral in the Colts success, including, again, a big first down on a scoring drive to put the game away. I know it will go to Moreno, Sanchez, or some other joker, but Collie deserves at least a look for ROTY.

The Colts lost and sat some of their starters. Austin led the team in receptions and yards at 6-94.

Colts ought to be ashamed of themselves for pulling Peyton out when they only had a 15-10 lead. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

But yeah, Collie was tight all game.

Locked on Garcon??
He had 2 catches last week, one a franchise-record 87-yard TD, and the other a 59-yard TD that should have been called back for several penalties.
Collie also only had 2 catches, so I would say more data is needed to determine what happens going forward. Right now, neither look like viable starting options until the Colts get their act together.
