A lot of the guard rebounds is from long rebounds due to missed 3's. Those will vary alot. NM was making their 3's so there were less long rebounds. A rebound put back was the winnig basket. the opponents are more athletic than our big men.

I watched him play this year and he was either having an off game or he is a really really poor shooter. High basketball IQ, good passer, big and strong, but he shot probably 4 airballs. Still excited about him though.
We just played the #13 team in the nation without our star player, and without a sub for our replacement point guard, and only lost by two.
If Jimmer plays, we advance easily--we won't be playing a New Mexico caliber team in the first round.

I think he only played 12 minutes. Jimmer played 16 minutes. And yes, BYU looked much better with Loyd in the 2nd half (outscores UNM by 8) than we did with Jimmer in the first half and two minutes into the 2nd (outscored by UNM by 10).

Every team has to deal with injuries, it's not fair to consider certain injuries when voting for rankings and ignoring others. If you have seven losses you should not be ahead of BYU right now.
After Vandy's poor showing (playing at home and still only beating Georgia by 2...in OT), and BYU's strong performance, we jump Vandy and move up to a 3 seed!

I'm not sure UNM is deadly from 3-point range. They shoot .377 which is decent but not great. UNM is just a very solid team all they way around. I don't think they do anything extremely well. They just do almost everything better than most teams....
