Re: tickets/fans in the seats.
Utah and SL County government approved 26% capacity for MLS games at Rio Tinto - 5,300 allowed out of 20,000 capacity. So, expect a similar 25%ish capacity at LES. Which means about 16K per game. Probably a 2K student section and the rest based on Cougar Club season ticket priority. Tickets to every...

Re: NEW 2020 schedule
Call me what you will, but I'm glad we're playing Navy in Week 1 and not Alabama. It's still an exciting game in an EXCEPTIONAL timeslot...but, we actually have a chance to win the game. I note that last year's Labor Day game on ESPN was Notre Dame-Louisville...and it delivered 5.6M viewers.... 2018...

Re: NEW 2020 schedule
Liberty already has 10 games on their schedule so is not likely to be adding more. New Mexico's governor might be shutting sports down. Still unknowns there. Will FCS Western Carolina play this season? And, the MAC is meeting today to vote on their season's model, so the AT Bowling Green game is no...

Re: NEW 2020 schedule
So, here's what we know so far--3 confirmed games, 2 should be okay (BSU and Houston) with 2 more still waiting on conferences to decide what they can do: Sept 7 - BYU @ Navy, ESPN (confirmed) Oct 2 - USU @ BYU (confirmed) Oct 16 - Houston @ BYU (should be good -- AAC allowing 4 nonconf games) Oct ...

Re: How many of the disappearing PAC12 games are gimmees?
Is the PAC12 trying to save badly needed money by playing fewer payout games? They lose 30-ish conference wins. With conference-only games there will be exactly the same number of overall wins and overall losses for the conference so more teams will have a losing record. But they'll have more money...

Re: Pope
With the kind of money brought in by BYU football and BBall, coaches salaries should never be in the bottom 75% of salaries. Maybe they should give Pope his $600k base salary and bracket it up according to how much the BBall team brings in for the year. If he wins the WCC tournament another $100k? ...

Re: Tourney Watch 2020
I'll take a 6 seed any day. I like how the 6 v 11 seed goes in the tournament bracket. Looks like one of the easier routes to the sweet 16. The 5 v12 seed goes to a #1 seed but a 6 seed eventually hoes to a #2 seed. I think this team has a legit shot to the sweet 16, but if by some chance they make...

Re: Best Case Scenario
I concur that a 3 seed is the top end and we should expect that if we win the WCC tournament, no matter which teams we end up playing. We expect it to be SMC/Gonzaga, but it could be someone else. I just think all these brackets as of today projecting BYU as a 6 seed are out of line with reality an...

Re: BYU vs San Diego
Phew... Way too close. I don't know if San Diego just matches up better against us or what, but that was close. Credit to SD for taking us out of our three point game. They really got out on the perimeter. Baxter looked a bit better out there, but he needs to get the ball. No one is giving him the ...
