Re: Rumor: BYU and Boise State to AAC
I would think 4-5 bids would be too low for that conference. You would have BYU, Gonzaga, San Diego State, Boise State, Houston, SMU, Wichita State, Cincinnati, Memphis, and Temple viaing for bids. Potentially. Right now, there are 6 projected NCAA bids from that group...but that's divided over 3 c...

Re: Rumor: BYU and Boise State to AAC
I do think there is too much read into Boise State's statement, but I could get behind an eventual move to the expanded AAC. I would prefer to move with both Boise State and San Diego State, so that we ensure frequent road games in ID and CA- as part of the conference schedule. The expanded AAC woul...

Re: Pope
Coach Pope made $200K/year at UVU. I'm sure BYU pays him substantially more, but have no idea on his BYU salary. I do know that the top-25 coaching salaries top $2.8M/year...Mark Few makes about $1.8M/year. Utah pays its coach about $3.5M/year. https://sports.usatoday.com/ncaa/salaries/mens-basketba...

Re: BYU fan questions institution's commitment to big time--but what about them?
Your statements answer your questions as to why leaving the conference was a mistake. Memphis lost big, but IN THE COTTON BOWL with a payout in the millions. BSU only went to THE LAS VEGAS BOWL and played a Power 5 team. BYU's last three bowl games? the Poinsettia against Wyoming, the Potato agains...

Re: Poll about your excitement with BYU Football after the 2019 season.
I'm in the 'neutral' camp...unless we land a couple of recruiting surprises in February.
3 points against SDSU, ho-hum December recruiting, and then letting Hawaii come from behind to win the bowl game on Christmas Eve...another 'what could have been' season.

Re: BYU fan questions institution's commitment to big time--but what about them?
I've said it before and I will say it again. BYU can't even recruit the same type of guys that led us to the NC in 84 or a 14-1 record in 96. Most of those guys wouldn't qualify because of the honor code, or more importantly, academics. We have lost so many recruits to other schools because of our ...

Re: Early Signing Day signings with a surprise
The only "commits" I see missing are:
LB Bodie Schoonover (American Fork, UT) - waiting to make a decision in February
ATH Petey Tuipulotu (Fort Mill, SC) - anyone know his status?
