I agree. I was hoping for Madsen but I think Pope will do well. Looks like the other conversations he was having in Minnesota during Final Four weekend didn't pan out as he'd hoped

Both of them chose blue chip schools over BYU (Madsen to Stanford; Pope to Kentucky). If I were the AD, one of my interview questions would be to give me your pitch to a blue chip recruit that would entice him to chose the path that you did not: Coming to BYU over other options.

That's an interesting point. I would wager that because BYU has a higher rate of married players and have families they need to provide for that there is a higher rate of BYU players leaving early to go play in Europe or Israel.
