Re: Questions and observations
I haven't heard anything about any ticket controversy. I was at the game and the SW section of the stadium (opposite the MUSS) was all blue, that's including the band. Similar to what BYU offers their opponents (NW corner) Utah brings 40,000 every week. I was in the NE corner and there were blue and...

Re: And Gary Johnson Just Lost My Vote...Crap. Now What?
Honest question, because it bugs me each election cycle: Can someone explain to me why a President's position on abortion and gay marriage should be given much weight anymore? Single issue voters (or the general christian right) ... and there a lots of them in the bible belt. frankly, there are a b...

What's the 'reporter' version of a mission?
So we all get how hard it is for a D1 athlete to come off a mission and compete physically. What's the reporter/media equivalent of that "advantage"? Reporter has to put all writing on hold for 24 months and only has a few hours 1 day per week to discuss sports and read other's work. Can't...

Re: Honor Code adjustments after ABA complaint
The only difference is that BYU is as close to a theological seminary as you can find within the LDS faith. If you convert away from a faith while at another faith's seminary (Catholic, Jewish, Evangelical, Muslim...) would you expect to be allowed to stay? I get that the law school is different (po...

Re: Injury Insurance Paid by Schools?
It is a long-held practice. The :utard: did is for Van Horn when he came back for his senior season. if you have a #1 caliber draft pick who comes back, it's not unreasonable to say there's benefit to both by the school paying premiums for 4-6 months against a career ending injury or draft-drop inju...

Re: Homoe tells ESPN BYU is open to Football only inclusion.
If Sunday play is an issue, then BYU wasn't wanted in the first place. Zero football or men's basketball conference games were played on Sunday in the Big XII last year. It was something like 1% in women's hoops. check out this article from SB Nation http://www.sbnation.com/college-football/2016/7/2...

Re: Homoe tells ESPN BYU is open to Football only inclusion.
^^^ This. At the end of the day, BYU Admin/Tom Holmoe can say they made it as easy as possible to select BYU (willing to negotiate on virtually everything except Sunday play). The only other non-starter I can imagine is that BYU would want to refuse certain advertisements on campus (e.g. alcohol and...
