Re: Do you like the Rivalry game being 1st game?
1. It's a huge motivator all through the off season. For months on months they break every team huddle with "Beat Utah" because they're the next team on the schedule. It creates a much higher level of focus. I think that pays dividends for both the Utah game and increased preparation that...

Re: How is everyone watching games this season?
Sling TV for $25/m. We get it from the start of Football season until BYU basketball crashes out in the tourney. No contract makes it worth it because we don't have it the other months of the year.
Plus $50 for high speed internet only.

Re: Do you like the Rivalry game being 1st game?
When we were in the same conference and on equal footing, I liked the last game of the year. Now that we aren't in the same conference and are on decidedly unequal footing, I think the first game gives us our best shot for a few reasons: 1. It's a huge motivator all through the off season. For month...

Re: Kalani Sitake ranked as the 82nd best football coach in NCAA
Scenarios under which Kalani keeps his job: (He stays if any of these happen): 1. Beats Utah in the opener and go 6-6 or better in the regular season. Bowl game won't matter. 2. Go 2-2 in the first 4 games and go 6-6 or better in the regular season. Bowl game won't matter. 3. Go 6-6, and win the bow...

Re: Interesting roster updates
I think a year suspension is right for the degree of issue that NP had. I hope he bounces back, but sometimes you cross too far over the line for a casual punishment and driving while impaired will always be that for me personally. I agree. He's fortunate he got caught when he did before he killed ...

Re: BYU, ESPN closing in on a new deal
Wait, you mean Holmoe's repeated public comments over the course of the previous contract about how 'money isn't important and we're really going for exposure,' may have undermined our current negotiating position??? Shocker. The best negotiation advice I ever received was to keep quiet and let the ...

Re: Neil Pau'u DUI on BYU Campus
That's really disappointing. Mostly for Pau'u, who comes from a great family as far as I can tell. Also for the team. Neil was a projected starter. But mostly I'm angry about what he did. I have no patience at all for drunk driving. My brother-in-law was killed by one while walking across the street...

Re: BYU, ESPN closing in on a new deal
I agree. It is very strange that Holmoe wasn't there. Some excuse about having a family event. But if you're the freakin AD you schedule the media day to when you don't have a conflict. Pretty clear that he didn't want to take questions. Perhaps he didn't want to be pressed on sensitive details on t...

Re: Zach Wilson
Totally agree! But were those poor passes/decisions where the receiver bailed him out, or passes where the receiver made an athletic play? Probably a bit of both but more the latter than the former. I'm just saying, Zach's good but we don't really know how good. We (or at least I) should temper the ...
