Re: We got Carlino, our future point/combo
I was thinking of posting this, but the news didn't seem "official" yet. Maybe you know something I don't. PS - Let me add, this gives me more hope for the future. BYU continues to pull in impressive guards. What we need now is to bring in some talent at the forward positions. Typically we...

Should Jimmer Be Holding Onto the Ball Even MORE?
Just a general observation... many on this forum - since last year, really - have implied that Jimmer is a bit of a "ball hog" so to say - and that he needs to get rid of the ball quicker and distribute it better. On first look, I'd agree. Pretty much any guard should be doing that. But le...

Re: Freezing cold weather
1) Hell is not cold 2) 44 degrees would seriously feel warm to me right now. And I'm not just saying that to try and sound cool. Well, to some degree I am... but I'm trying to be informative as well 3) Okay, I really only had two things to say. But when you're listing things numerically, it looks du...

Re: Sports Illustrated says we lose to UCLA
Most of the fouls called were legit. It was the contact that wasn't called that is at issue. Just like when we play UNLV and SDSU and UNM and K-State last year - teams, like UCLA was on Saturday, are able to play extremely physical on our perimeter players without fouls being called each time. Thei...

Re: James Anderson
Never said I thought Anderson was a great/good player. Just think all the harshness directed at him is a little out of place. The kid averages 9.5 min a game. He played 4 min against UCLA and for some reason he's getting more than his fair share of criticism. Want to point fingers...point them at E...

Re: James Anderson
And you fail to realize that the team does not and will not rely on Anderson. You seem to think like he should be our knight in shining armor that will solidify our low post presence. Get over it. He's not and he's not going to be. There's a reason he has played double digit minutes once in the las...

Re: We need to quit with this "well considering..." talk
3. Will Abouo ever get more PT? He is our best defender, one of our more athletic rebounders, has 3 point range but can also have highlight dunks....and Coach Rose doesn't play him much. He needs to play more starting now in order for our team to continue successfully. This is another issue. His he...

Re: Sports Illustrated says we lose to UCLA
Honest question: How many of you play basketball or have played basketball before? Like in actual leagues? It could be high school, college, YMCA, competitive pick-up leagues... The reason I ask is that anyone who understands the game realizes that the refs in the UCLA game were fine. i evaluated ne...

Re: James Anderson
it's obvious by the posts in this thread that many of you don't understand the EXTREME importance of having a solid big guy. When you have players as poor as Anderson playing at the 5 - it makes the ENTIRE team suffer. And there aren't many 5's in Division I basketball who are as bad as Anderson. I ...
