Re: BYU OL Sione Veikoso passes away in an accident

I don't know much about Sione, but this much I do know: He was a returned missionary and BYU athlete who was back on the islands during holiday break doing construction work near home. This made me think for a minute. What was I doing during holiday breaks when I was in college? I was usually sleepi...

Re: Players in the transfer portal

Screenshot_20221224_131225_Chrome.jpg I'll just drop this here. Getting Slovis is huuuuge, perhaps even the greatest transfer ever. Many people are saying no one is as good as Slovis. His arm, by far, is the strongest we have seen, perhaps ever. No more Stinky Slovis. He's gonna fight like hell and...

Re: Players in the transfer portal

Jaren just announced on his Instagram he is not coming back and he is going for the 2023 NFL draft. I wish him the best. Outstanding player and all around good character.

I wonder if this means Kedon Slovis is coming to Provo??? I would be very happy with that.

New Tradition Suggestion Box

Aside from more winning as we enter the Big12, I've got 2 ideas that I think are just golden. 1. Call the games in a new language every week. I'm talking things like Swahili, Yiddish, Hindi, Mandarin, Arabic, Tongan, and yeah Spanish and Portuguese. Let's have a small prize where some senior languag...

Re: Next DC?

Shaun Nua is my fav, but Frank Maile is close 2nd. I wonder if Lance Anderson can find his way over here with the shuffle at Stanford. I think Nua knows what a Big12 defense will need to be like.

Re: Utah Tech

Not even FCS yet is correct.

Take a suspect D against a high energy spread D3 offense and here we are at the half 28-20.

Keanu Hill is one of those receivers that is reliable and central to the read-through for Jaren. Nice going young man, having 3 touchdowns in one half is pretty good.

I'll just throw this out there here because I wanted to say it. I have deep respect for the Peterson family. Paul Peterson coaches a good program with a high scoring offense, and is part of an interesting family. His brother Ben Peterson, was founder of one of the very successful Utah county SaaS st...

Re: 2022 BYU Opponents: Week 12

Baylor just broke my heart. I thought they had it, but that final 2 minutes was crazy. TCU's scramble to get set for a field goal at the end was just nuts. I wonder if our kicking team could do this fire drill: after the offense does a running play, the field goal unit hurries onto the field while c...

Re: BSU

This was one a fun and satisfying win. Anytime you beat a regional rival, that is good, no matter what the rest of the season looks like. Nice job going into a game where a lot of doubt about the team was going on, but these Cougs played fantastic. I loved the defense getting stops on the run. This ...

Re: Big 12

To make it through study hall when I was in high school, my buddies and I would play a game called "would you rather" and boy have I learned a lot because of it. The question I pose to us fans would thus verily be: Would you rather have stayed in the Mountain West and made several seasons ...
