Re: With the 2019-20 season abruptly over, looking ahead to 2020-21

We were a senior heavy team, I would be surprised to see us ranked next year.

I'm curious to see what magic Pope will conjure during the off season.

Re: Will there be a selection Sunday?

A lot of schools' sports programs rely on the money NCAA provides them. The NCAA tourney was the biggest money driver for the league. Next year is going to be painful for many schools.

Even within the WCC, some of the smaller schoola rely on the revenue Gonzaga and others bring in.

No there won't be. What a sad end to an amazing season.

Re: With the 2019-20 season abruptly over, looking ahead to 2020-21

I don't see Yoeli staying another year. Players looking to the NBA may actually have incentive to stay an extra year if the NBA starts canceling these postponed games. The salary cap next year may take a huge hit as it is based on previous year salaries, and as games cut the salaries go down. Every...

Re: With the 2019-20 season abruptly over, looking ahead to 2020-21

I don't see Yoeli staying another year. Maybe Toolson and Haws would stay another year. If NCAA allows players to stay another year, that puts a lot of schools in a scholarship crunch. Players that you were planning to graduate wouldn't be, so a new incoming recruit wouldn't have a scholarship avail...

Re: NCAA Tournament will be fan free

Looking at what is happening with NBA, I wouldn't be surprised to see the tournament cancelled or postponed. But fans, like the guy from Davis, knowingly going to a basketball game 3 days after being diagnosed with COVID-19 doesn't help the situation. I get the thing is getting blown out of proporti...

Re: How to beat BYU

Haws went 2/14. He shoots at his normal clip and we win that game. The SMC game did expose a weakness on this team and it's been a long standing issue with BYU teams: a dominant guard that can take people off the dribble. Pepperdine, SMC, Pacific, and USF all have guards that can create space and sc...

Re: BYU vs SMC

Honestly, I think that's a ridiculous time to play a game on a Monday night. The WCC probably isn't "AS" bothered as BYU fans as most are on PST and have an hour on us, but way too late to have to wait to play a game just because of TV scheduling. I wouldn't wouldn't watch it. It was a fr...

Doubt it, but l hope USF's bigs can at least wear Gonzaga out a bit.
