This is also very typical of Louisville in the early season. Sometimes it almost appears Coach P lets them struggle and loose some early games to get it out of their system. They never have to worry about SOS or tourney selection if they do well in the Big East.

We seem to be going for a lot of RB's. Is that because they are usually pretty athletic and may end up playing defense, or do we need a big pool of RB's?

Without a playoff no one can really say how good the SEC is. I would guess you have to give them some historical credit when you consider 4 out the last 6 BCS champions are SEC teams.
