BSU
Thought I’d take a moment to bask in a very nice win, but knowing my many many fans (2?) clamor for review, here goes :). We were the better team. The score is not reflective. Things that jumped out at me: our rush defense was better than BSU’s, our time of possession was, refreshingly, for us. I st...

ECU
With the defensive struggles we’ve all seen, we needed the offense to step up. And they haven’t. Seven points in the second half? Perhaps me, but for the first time I thought Jaren struggled to find open receivers. The fourth down play calling continues to baffle me. While the defense wasn’t as bad ...

Re: Worst defense since?
I wonder what a Bronco Mendenhall defense would do? It all starts with the defensive line, and they have been pushed around virtually every game this year. They were up to the task in the Baylor game, but since then it has been a completely different story We never never never can put consistent pre...

Good Bad and Ugly
Good: Puka was involved and produced well. Pass blocking. Arkansas is supposed to be a sack machine and the OLine held their own Epps continues to shine and is such a pleasant surprise. Bad: Safety play was abysmal. Taking bad angles, missing interceptions, giving no run support. Coaching. First hal...

Re: Notre Dame!
Watched the game again. My takeaways: Hall was off too many times. We’ve come to take for granted his near flawless play. He threw badly, held on to balls too long. The very first play of the game was as poor a pass as I seen him throw. Nacua and Romney were non factors. Nacua almost made a great ca...

Re: Utah State
An update to my post: from different angles it looks like Batty was pushing the guy’s helmet down because the lineman was twisting Batty’s leg and Batty was trying to get the guy to stop. In that regard, totally understandable. Unfortunate the ref overlooked that.

Utah State
As some have said, a win is a win, but....... My first takeaway: the coaches get a fail. There were stupid stupid penalties--Batty slamming the guy's head into the ground repeatedly, Tooley throwing the runner's shoe, offsides that gave USU first downs. I get that in playing some penalties will happ...

Re: Wyoming
Coaches made some adjustments after the first Q and it showed. Hall is a treasure. Tight spirals and really good decisions. His receivers helped out a lot too with YAC, except for the one dropped ball. We seemed to get stronger as the game went on. I’d like to see the replays on some of the penaltie...

Re: BYU will beat Oregon
Fido, you’re spot on. One thing I noticed is that Brooks never cuts back like Tyler did. Not saying that makes all the difference, but when you run where everyone is being pushed, well, there’ll be a lot of guys to tackle you. Oregon owned our Dline. And their Dline OWNED our OLine. That about sums ...
