Re: Church supports watered-down immigration bill
And in other news ... The Church acknowledges that it hasn't repealed the 10th article of faith... But did they exclude D&C sections 121 and 134 from the latest edition where it tells me I am no longer bound to uphold a government when that government compels a violation of my property rights t...

Re: Obama declares war on Lybia
What is national security and does it have any relation to defense? I'm just asking because one of those terms appears in the constitution and the other doesn't? Certainly you are not implying Saddam taking the Saudi oil fields (which was never really a threat anyway) would prevent you or anyone els...

Re: Obama declares war on Lybia
Come on Dave.
The point is neither the Taliban nor the country of Afghanistan attacked the US. It was a group of no more than 50 individuals. You don't start wars with three countries (and counting) for something a small group of individuals did.

Re: Obama declares war on Lybia
So nobody approves of the use of a no-fly zone to prevent Qaddafi from bombing his own civilian population? Or do you all just believe that someone else should do it? I supported both efforts in OIF and OEF in their beginnings. I support current "withdrawal" plans now. I'm just tired of b...

Re: Obama declares war on Lybia
[ Bottom line for me is that, depending upon the specifics, stopping one country's attempt to take over another country, when it affects our national security, is justifiable, at least in my books. "When it affects our national security." Sounds like Fox News empty rhetoric to me. I think...

Re: Too funny!
My senior year in high school I showed maybe twice a week and got straight c's (only because my teachers liked me, they would have been justified in failing me). BYU didn't care and neither did any of the much more highly ranked schools I considered. Same thing my senior year at BYU. None of the med...

Re: Solar Power = 11x more deadly than Nuclear Power
I'm a radiation oncologist. The power plants are safe, but they are an incredible investment. Without government subsidies they wouldn't exist how they do today. Other options are much less expensive and less risky (to the consumer). That said, if you want to pay to start your own nuclear power plan...

Re: Obama declares war on Lybia
I was for capturing and trying the people who blew up the planes. (That does not mean I was for invading Afghanistan). I was against Iraq (both times). Obama is a terrible president, McCain would have been worse (does anyone dispute this?), more Bush would have been worse, Romney likely would have b...

Re: Church supports watered-down immigration bill
I'm glad the Church stepped in. I can't believe the morons down here in Arizona (BTW the guy who wrote 1070 is a member from Mesa). I don't think anyone is really against migrants. The problem is when people, whether they are migrants or not, take your property. In my mind there is no difference bet...
