Women's Soccer

Congratulations to the BYU women's soccer team. What a stellar season. And who knew that Pac12 refs would be enlisted to ref the Final? Some really bad calls that went against the Cougars and yet it still came down to the last penalty kick....

Missouri State

Watched the game. Liked how Lucas and Barcelo carried the team. Johnson really stepped up. Why did Atiki play just three minutes? Could have used his size.

Devastating loss--I am referring to Gavin out for the season. Unbelievable string of bad luck for the young man. I hope and wish the best for him. With Baxter and Harwood out, can our two remaining freshmen centers (and they are not oversized at that) handle the post? Last night UVU's center was dom...

Re: Harding

He left on his own accord. He saw the writing on the wall--that his playing time would decrease. I did not see anything last night (3-12 shooting for example) to suggest we will really miss his play. I wish him the very best. He can be a help to his new team

BYU USC game

An exciting game to watch! Thoughts: Algeier played with amazing toughness. Bywater and Tooley each had 13 tackles. 25 players had defensive stats. A real team effort! Kaleb Hayes made the drive ending tackle, but his post game interview (thanks Fido!) is why I follow and support BYU athletics. Prou...

Re: BYU v Oregon

Oregon's offense was a bunch of ballers trying to do some cool thing on their own and learning how that works against a team playing good defense. Seriously, if that is the best offense Oregon coaching can come up with, they are not a top 25 team. Oregon's D was pretty good I thought until the inten...

Re: BYU v Oregon

Our D has been outstanding and we have not let Oregon have much by way of second chance points. If anyone other than Alex starts making shots, we will be lights out.

Re: BYU vs Virginia

I'm not sure. But I just remember re-watching and thinking, hey look! We're not bringing only three. That's four DL lining up and rushing there. I'd have to go back, rewatch, and count how many times we lined up 3 or 4 DL in each half. And I'm not sure I want to have the pain of that 2nd quarter. H...

Was it as much as the first half, can you tell? My visual (TV watching) was that we went much more 3-man rush in the second half than the first.....but maybe that impression is wrong?
