Re: Unga Story Might Not Be Over
Are there NFL restrctions from preventing Unga from signing as a free agent right now? To me, wouldn't it make more sense to get in camp with a team, start bonding with the team, start learning the playbook, etc. than waiting until the end of the summer to get with a team.

Re: Mekeli Wesley's scoop on the summer pickup games
Collinsworth is much more an enabler than Haws was. Which is why he'll fit in very well on this team. Haws was very good, but I think we still need to find someone to get us his points each night. I like hearing that Kyle has a bit of a mean streak in him.

Re: Redshirting Heaps
There would also be value in red-shirting Jimmer Fredette this coming season, as then we'd have him next season. Doesn't mean that move isn't dumb. Heaps has dominated the position since stepping foot in Provo- why go with a lesser player in Nelson? Apples to oranges. Jimmer played as a freshman, a...

Re: fantasy land
Sorry, the logic that "Nelson didn't bring up his numbers till the very, very end..." ...Is extremely accurate. Nelson added about 100 yards on 2 throws at the very end of spring camp, both in "show" situations for the public, both against the 3rd string DBs. It made a huge diff...

Re: Heaps
Thanks Mars. I don't know why Nelson didn't have a Scout page, but I will offer two theories. 1) Scout.com is a lot better now than it was in 2004 (Nelson's SR year). 2) Nelson didn't attend nearly as many camps as Heaps did. He didn't travel all over the country to go to camps and get his name and ...

Re: Heaps
For the record. Here is my official opinion on Heaps: I'm very excited for Heaps. I think he is going to be an absolute stud by the time he's done at BYU. I think he could wind up with better stats than Max Hall, and leave the school beloved like John Beck. I think the other MWC teams are going to t...

Re: "Heaps a victim of Unga’s saga, but shouldn’t be"
I bet 3A in Utah is much closer to 4A in Washington than 4A to Washington is to D1 football. You can't have your cake and eat it too. Either high school stats are relevant or they aren't. And yes, I did know that Heaps didn't play every down of every game. Maybe Nelson didn't either. Unfortunately, ...

Re: fantasy land
Kit as usual you are wrong about your spring ball analysis or maybe sno has talked you into his fantasy of Nelson dominating spring ball. I personally saw allot of spring practice with my own two eyes since I know one of the players family members. I am not speculating here I actually saw what was ...

Re: Unga Story Might Not Be Over
I don't know. This article (http://www.deseretnews.com/article/700033618/BYU-football-Unga-will-not-return-to-Cougars.html) says this: Unga, who is BYU's all-time leading rusher with 3,455 yards, cannot be readmitted to school until January 2011, at the earliest, BYU spokeswoman Carri Jenkins said W...

Re: nope
Heaps is the best performer coming out of spring by many people and players accounts, he is doing the best so far in the off season workouts. Again, this simply isn't true. The stats from spring ball give a slight edge to Nelson. Bronco and Doman both stated follwing spring ball that the race was s...
