Re: Zach Wilson

For perspective, Wilson was good against bad competition. Three quarters of the Utah game excepted. Not bagging on Zach, just saying he's still young and learning. A September sophomore slump wouldn't be a surprise if it were to happen. His 100% in the bowl game was way impressive. But he also got l...

There are two kinds of people that say that money isn't important: Those that don't have it (and can't get it) and those that don't need more of it.

Which do we really think BYU is?

Re: Three Football wishes

1. Health for the 2-deep from Fall camp through to the final whistle of the bowl game
2. A fat(ter) contract with ESPN
3. Coaching competence--in technique, tactics and strategy
4. A NY6 invite so I don't have to watch the bowl game a day and a half later.
5. Beat Utah

Re: Trevion Green announces transfer

Given that he's only thanking his D coaches, there's some rift with him and Kalani. My guess is that he's being shown the door after having received his degree to free up a scholarship in the severe crunch. I don't remember him playing much. Lots of promise, not as much production. Best of luck to h...

Re: Riley Nelson to fill Marc Lyons shoes in the broadcast booth

Riley Nelson knows all to well about doing too much. We would have beat BSU with Taysom if Riley had been honest about his injuries. I feel mixed about this. I've never heard Riley on the radio except when he was injured and I recall not caring much for it--but maybe that's because I didn't care muc...

Re: Changing Word of Wisdom Rumor

...Maybe sometimes TOO good at keeping things close to the vest. What's the temple worker requirement change? I hadn't heard that one. In fact, I tried to search for it on the church website and still couldn't find it. What's the scoop?

Re: Your Child's Education: UVU or UofU

If my children aren't able to get into BYU Provo, BYU-I is a decent option. I don't live in Utah, so would not encourage them to apply to Utah schools. There are good/better state schools here. I agree. BYU was just rated as the best value school in the country; I have to believe that BYUi would ra...

Re: Deseret First Duel

If we lost the duel 5-6, then if we had won the football game, then they would have lost, and so we would have won the duel 6-5, right? Non need for a tie-breaker. Not that it matters. Your point that the major melt-down still finds ways to sting in mid-May is spot on. I'm still amazed at how many d...

Re: Honor Code office, ie HOA

I had two interactions with the HCO during my time at BYU. 1) Beard Card.... 2) The Unknown Violation. ...Should have been handled by the apartment manager, not the Honor Code Office, and the guilt-trip was a bit juvenile but transparent --- glad to see that is going away. Thanks for sharing, Sno. ...
