Re: Khymani is gone
His offer was pulled. He was a Detmer recruit. As for Kalani's "superior" recruiting skills everyone seems to mock on here, I look forward to seeing what this staff can do with this available scholarship and watching you all eat crow.

Re: The prodigal son returns :-)
Collie graduates from UH in may. He wont be here until then. I am really excited about what he adds to our receiving corps! Much needed leadership ability and experience.

Re: Additional FB Coach?
From the rumors I have been hearing it is looking like the 10th assistant will be on defense. Michael Spurlock, a defense/special teams assistant at UTSA is one of the rumored hires along with Cesar Rivas, the DC at Azusa Pacific and Preston Hadley. I was hoping for a RB's coach but I'm sure Grimes ...

Re: Offensive Coaching staff
All I have to say about this post is, YES!!! I could not have said it any better. You're using Detmer's numbers as an OC to compare with Roderick. Detmer was never just a QB coach - I'd have been more excited to have seen him given a go as that and focus on just the QB than I am to see someone who h...

Re: Offensive Coaching staff
It will be hard to do any worse than last year. My hope is that the new staff chooses a solid new QB (maybe Hall or Wilstead?) and WR play can improve. If we have more consistent play from specifically our QB, RB's and WR's then we should see substantial improvement IMO.

Re: Offensive Coaching staff
Just read the Dick Harmon article and it basically announced that A-Rod is the QB's coach. So as of now the Offensive coaching staff is: OC: Grimes PGC/QB: A-Rod WR: Fesi TE: Clark OL: Pugh RB: ? I don't know if this means that the 10th assistant will be RB's coach or if Grimes will be with RB's and...

Re: Hiring Friends and Family
I feel that A-Rod is a solid hire. We will see how he does and we will see how good of a hire this actually was. I'm hoping for the best with all 3 of these hires but as stated on the board, the only one that makes me a little nervous is A-Rod, mostly because he will probably be working with the QB'...

Re: Offensive Coaching staff
Oh yes, I listened to that interview last night. I really like Fesi with the receivers. that is where he can be most effective IMO. I am a little nervous about A-Rod with our QB's though. Hopefully that works out well. I am cautiously optimistic right now as well.

Re: Offensive Coaching staff
I wouldn't mind that at all. Weber's backs were impressive this year. We need a solid RB's coach so that leaves Fesi or A-Rod with QB's or WR's

Re: Offensive Coaching staff
Who do you all think gets the 10th assistant spot? My guesses are either Paul Peterson or David Fifita, former ute d-lineman who currently is the d-line coach at Idaho State.
