I would take a whole team of Brandon Ogletree's over what we had last year.
I think what you would get is maybe a Brandon Ogletree and a bunch of guys who show that Ogletree is a standout for his size. If Ogletree's were available everywhere, he wouldn't be a standout.

Wasn't Brandon Ogletree and undersized player from Texas? He turned out Ok I though.
Well, you are right. Maybe we should be going with the Texas all-under 6' squad. Nothing screams success like "undersized".

Re: Another decommit, Jaren Mitchell, WR

Speculation on the interwebs is that it may be a pulled offer. Several of the recent decommits are undersized players out of Texas recruited by Detmer (RB Joshua Oglesby, 5' 7" 180 and WR Jaren Mitchell, 5' 10" 175). Oglesby was 2*, Mitchell 3*. Dinkelmann isn't undersized and is 3*--but they also h...

Re: Early Signing Day

If Sitake is planning on filling gaps two years from now he should have sped up that timeline. Yes, I see that he also mentions help for the fall, but he has to win this year or he won't be around in two years. He was making signings for both times. For example, signed a TON of OL, but half of them...

Re: Early Signing Day

Interesting note which I guess is obvious if you think about it but I sometimes forget: Coach Sitake: "I thought we covered a lot of our deficiencies that we will see two years from now and also addressed things that will help us this fall. I’m really excited about the group and about this signing d...

Re: Early Signing Day

I believe these are the proper statuses. Coaches indicated more class of 2018 were signed but would announce later with their teammates. Mission first signings: Talan Alfrey 6-3 185 DB Auburn, WA Auburn Mountainview HS Campbell Barrington 6-7 275 OL Spokane, WA University HS Tysen Lewis 6-5 235 OL N...

More attrition to come simply due to math

This is just in doing a quick look at the roster and crunching some numbers. Subtract those who expired eligibility and have left or are planning on missions, add in currently committed 2018 players NOT planning on serving a mission and 2018 returning missionaries and this equals around 128 players....
