Re: Jimmer Turning Down 10-day NBA Contracts

Fredette has signed a two year deal to return to the Shanghai Sharks. I read it's for $1.8M but it's not clear if that's per year or total for the two years. And I believe last year the Sharks somehow paid his taxes or some equivalent so that his contract amount was also his "take home" am...

Both Mika and his wife served missions in Italy. Good for him. Thank you Mika for a wonderful sophomore season ...

Re: Expectations for Tanner

Here is how some of the BYU greats have done in these categories that Fowler put out there: BYU QB Expectations.PNG I have to say that I'd be very happy if Tanner met these expectations this season against this schedule with these WRs. But I wouldn't be surprised if he falls under this season. Now, ...

Re: Expectations for Tanner

I think 2-2.5 TD to INT ratio is laughably under performing. A 4 TD to INT ratio is what my goal is for a QB. Yes, it's high, but it's reachable and it's a very good indicator of success. I don't know. Max Hall was a great QB with great stats, right? His best season he had 35-14 which is a 2.5 rati...

RPI is Out

BYU SN mentioned yesterday that starting in the 2018-19 season that RPI will no longer be used in the NCAA tournament selection committee. Instead they will look at: Home wins vs top 30 (BYU had zero last season) Neutral site wins vs top 50 (BYU had zero) Road wins vs top 75 (BYU had one - Gonzaga) ...

Expectations for Tanner

Yesterday on BYU SN Blaine Fowler outlined his expectations for Tanner for this season. He specifically said that he wants to see 65% completion %, 10 yards per attempt (not completion), and 2 - 2.5 TD-INT ratio. What do you guys think? Is this fair? Achievable? I think with our front loaded schedul...

Re: 2017-18 Schedule

I'm very disappointed to have Mika gone, he was one of my favorite BYU players ever and I was very high on him. But I did confirm my season seat selection yesterday and I'm still looking forward to this season! I'm excited for the Illinois St. game because both of my parents attended there. They had...

Re: Of the Position Groups Listed, in which do You Have the LEAST Amount of Confidence?

If the unit isn't that good to begin with is returning a lot of starters a good thing? I remember watching a game a few years ago against UNLV I think it was and the commentators were raving about how many starters they were returning (on defense I think it was) and I LOL'd because they had sucked t...
