Re: Paul Peterson Following Several BYU Twitter Accounts

Means he's interviewed and is lobbying to win the post-interview process.

Re: Jeff Chatman No Longer a BYU Fan

DComing home early is a different story because sometimes you can't help that and from what I've seen everyone who has come home early has had to do it because of a medical reason. Not to open a can of worms or derail the thread, but I've never understood what kind of a medical condition (barring m...

Re: Tejan Koroma 2nd Team All American

For all of the trouble that the O line faced while he was here, he consistently played very well. I could probably count the number of bad snaps he had on one hand; he did a solid job calling out assignments, and I loved watching for his pancake blocks. Despite a dismal year, I hope the stalwart, st...

Re: Zadock Dinkleman decommits

I agree. I don't think firing Holmoe would solve anything and instead would prolong the recovery. That said, there are three other arguments for firing Holmoe not mentioned above. I think only one holds water. Argument 1. Holmoe is in charge of the scheduling and that hurt us. I disagree with this o...

Re: Progress on finding new OC?

Perhaps I'm reading Harmon's article through my own lens, but I get the sense that he's also frustrated by both the firing of Detmer and the lack of a succession plan. The tone and word choice leads me to believe that Dick is none too impressed. Interesting that the rest of the offensive Offensive s...

Re: Potential bowl game destinations?

The lack of a bowl tie-in this year was prescient. Or Ominous.

Somehow ESPN knew. I don't know how, but they knew!!!

Re: Progress on finding new OC?

I'd want to understand why Chow didn't work out the last time he was the OC (@ Utah?) before bringing him on. I mean, besides the pathological OC turnover on the hill.

Re: BYU vs Opponent Averages!

Hey Spiff, I love these. Any chance you could update now that the regular season is over? I'd like to see how we did--especially the defense, with the 2017 season in the books (and before the bowls, which may skew these averages a bit).
Thanks!!

Re: Butch Pau'u told he's not good enough for BYU

Yeah, this comes down to inconsistency. It's tough to go from chummy-chummy, sweep it under the rug, to back-against-the-wall accountability. Accountability is a lot easier when it's consistently applied. Otherwise it feels like you're being jerked around. Which...you kind of are.

At a minimum, it's clear that there are some very real communication issues with this staff from top to bottom.
This is a lot deeper than Xs and Os
