Re: And Just like that........

I know it sounds like sour grapes and ex post rationalization, but I told my boys at the time that I really wasn't impressed with Utah. Their defense was solid but their offense definitely didn't look like a top 15 team.

They showed that tonight.

Go Trojans!
Same!

Nice win for the men of Troy.

Re: TV Ratings/Attendance 2019

Probably a stupid question, but what does the +/- % mean? How do we interpret that?

Re: Defensive Philosophy

Yes, we play a 3-man front, but we did rush 4 several times--more in the USC game than in other games to my memory. One of the benefits of the 3-4 versus the 4-3 is that you can bring in an extra rusher from anywhere without compromising your backfield coverage or telegraphing pre-snap where the bli...

Did my part.
Kentucky leads 6k; BYU has 0.5k. Utes are next with 9 :)

Re: Kalani Sitake ?

I agree. Beating USC in overtime is big but we just telegraphed to the rest of College football what defense that QB struggles with. Maybe. But credit the coaches with devising a scheme to stop a guy that everyone on here was saying looked unstoppable 3 days ago. And credit the defense with making ...

Re: Lack of preparation but half time adjustments

And surely Grimes would have been to Tennessee multiple times as the O-line coach for multiple teams in the SEC and definitely would have paid attention to it.
I don't get it. Sitake may not have experienced it, but his OC had. Where's the breakdown?

Re: Dropped Passes

Hmmm. I remember being frustrated at receiver's coach Fesi Sitake for some reason, but I don't specifically remember any dropped passes. I know Micah Simon didn't drop any!
There were some bad passes that shouldn't be counted as drops, unless you're counting dropped by the Tennessee DBs

Re: At what point...

I think BYU needs to hire a coach that is not doing what nearly every other program is doing. Watch BYU's offense, it's the same type of offense nearly every other team runs. But when you run up against better athletes we lose those battles. We need to be different. We can't just try to be better a...

Re: Utah game ... more of the same?

On the plus side: On net, I think we win the war of the trenches. Their strength against our strength--their D line vs our O line--washes out. We'll each have good trench play when we have the ball. And our O line did very well last year overall against their D throughout the game--I believe both si...
