Re: OL Preview 2017

Frankly, the O-Line has underperformed since Jeff Grimes left. I'd love to see that change this year. Or even next. I do think this will be a good year, though. Tejan going beast mode is fun to watch, and he has some reliable wingmen with experience this time around. I'm most concerned about Shoaf a...

Re: BYU receivers still dropping balls.

I dunno. Those 2015 receivers got their tails handed to them against the physical DBs of Michigan. They couldn't get off the bump to save their souls.

Re: Tanner McKee sitting out Sunday

Glad that he's committed to taking all 5 and that he's doing BYU last. That said, if I were advising him, based on those criteria I'd steer him toward Stanford or maybe Texas. He'll always have the LDS network, but Texas and Stanford (in that order) will offer the best network. Stanford is best on a...

Re: Taysom Hill rocked his first playing time for GB

Awesome that Taysom and Jamaal were the top two rushers. And tied. :)

Re: Mo Langi gets dog pilled

He's not much for pass rushing though when he got going he didn't look too bad. I think he'll just need a bit more practice with explosiveness getting out of that stance. For now, though, he'll be a heck of a short-distance run stopper. If he plays, it'll be on goal-line stands. Eventually, though, ...

Re: Good catch

That's some Cody Hoffman concentration right there! Good job, Hifo.
And nice job by Z Anderson for coming in with the near PBU.

Re: Fall camp (Aug 3rd)

Interesting. Based solely on the footage Hawk posted, Hoge has had far better performance over little Detmer (and I say that intentionally; the guy's puny--about my size. 6 even, 160. Check that; he's listed at 5-10, 175. And you know the official numbers are always inflated). That meets my eye test...

Re: Fall camp (Aug 3rd)

Thanks, Hawk. Here are some highlights I saw; translating numbers in to names. Troy Warner had a nice PBU of a Mangum pass to Jonah Trinneman, who had a bad case of T-Rex arms. Koy CAN complete a pass. (I'm not too high on him) Beau-2-Beau: B Hoge had a nice deep ball to B Tanner, mostly thanks to p...

Re: Fall camp (Aug 2nd)

Can't tell a lot from these clips, but Tanner had several nice throws. He also had Trey Dye's out route jumped and nearly picked for what would have been a TD by Fred Warner. Wilstead also tossed a couple of PBUs. Critchelow got bailed out by a nice grab by Rickey Shumway. Koy Detmer had an awful on...
