Re: 2020/21 Out of Conference Analysis
Lohner PER/G: 6.9; PER/Min: 0.29; Grade: D+. We're short on bigs, but Pope has to drop Lohner from the starting 5. He started a lot of games last season and kind of grew into it. But this year he is just floundering. I said this last season and I have to wonder if Pope promised him x number of minu...

Re: Creighton Loss
Coach Pope decided to go with more size by starting Atiki and playing Traore. It was enough against Weber St. In theory Atiki should improve by leaps and bounds with more playing time.

Re: Traore and Barcello
Barcello's shooting is going to have to come back down to earth. But right now he is playing at an unbelievable level. And Barcello is much more efficient than Jimmer. Traore quick movements and reactions are the biggest surprise to me. If he develops and gets down to 240 he looks like an NBA prospe...

Re: Blue White Scrimmage has me excited for this season!
I am excited for this year. Starting 5 notes -Barcello didn't play. -Lucas struggled a little with a chaotic play but make several plays that make confident he will be good. -George's shooting stroke looked better and with more experience he made a little better decisions -Lohner looked exactly the ...

Re: 2020-21 Basketball roster released
It seems like we're lacking a little height on the team. Only 4 players taller than 6-foot-6. I would be more worried about height is didn't have the beef. Think about who is going to play Lucas and Barcello are 190ish guards Knight and Lohner is 230ish George is 210. And the concern is the getting...

Re: Tonight's Practice
I finally got around to watching this practice. First of all we are going to be a big, good-shooting and deep team. We lack a great one on one perimeter scorer. So everything is going to be able getting the ball into the post to Lee and Haarms. A few other observations: -Knell looked stronger and ha...

Re: LMU
I usually don't single out any player, but the 4 fouls from Seljaas in 9 minutes of play is pretty impressive. Seems to be a good thing though, bringing aggression. To be expected. He was guarding their star player at a size/strength disadvantage. So he was fronting and fight for position aggressiv...

Wouldn't Williams the new running back have played at Tennessee?

Re: Yoeli Childs - Is he going?
If Yoeli came back to BYU, got cut up and lot 10 pounds. Then with improve athletic ability he might have a chance of being drafted. The problem is that successful NBA players his size can make step back 3's and run pick and rolls. He is a long way from that kind of skill development. And he would h...
