A way to improve the slam dunk contest
First off, congratulations to Donavon Mitchell for starting strong and keeping it going to win the 2018 slam dunk competition. With that in mind it seemed more players were trying to duplicate famous dunks from the past. That was mildly entertaining and for sure an improvement over the past handful ...

Jabari Parker mouth...
This will probably reek of hypocrisy but I mean no judgment whatsoever. When Jabari was being courted albeit without any real chance of coming to BYU, he always seemed to low key and softspoken. But his language when asked about his return from his ACL tear was surprising. That's all. Here's the lin...

Re: The real problem no one is talking about
Funny, I figured you would be the one saying we need Bronco's D back and Anae's O. Oh wait...who am I talking to? TIC! We have several areas that need improvement. To pinpoint a single player, group of players (ie. Secondary, O-Line, etc) or coach is foolish. We just plain stink and will struggle to...

Kaufusi...
Let me be the first to state I'm no expert rather just your typical armchair coach weighing in on what I think I saw. That in mind, I can't remember Jock scoring while Kaufusi was on him. He may have had a couple free throws but that's the most I remember. * Why wouldn't Rose put in Kaufusi and Mika...

Re: Changes to Utah's Staff
It's possible I'm misremembering but I am almost positive that when Cahoon was hired the first time the receivers and their ability to run good routes and catch with higher consistency than the previous year went up a ton. Spiff, perhaps you have some stats that could shed some light on it. When Cah...

Re: Who is the best basketball coach in Utah?
I'll probably get flamed for this but just because he coaches our hated rival is no reason to leave of Crisco if we are truly being objective. The first time his team beat us he had no business doing so. We came out flat and then couldn't recover. Last year we came out and got down by a lot and coul...

Re: Utah State game
I wasn't able to watch the game and it looks like, from the box score, that Davis didn't play. What was the reason?

Re: Kai Nacua, best Polynesian football player?
Not gonna lie. I don't get why this type of award exists. Who on the team is up for Caucasian College Football Player of the year? I have nothing against any other races but why keep creating stuff to emphasize the difference in skin tone or heritage? Here in Idaho Falls there is a Latino Soccer Lea...

Re: BYU-Utah State kickoff time-coverage
This really ticks me off! I am coming down from Idaho Falls for Thanksgiving and bought tickets to the Football game AND the basketball game figuring certainly BYU won't pit them in the same time frame...Besides two kids from up here that I used to play Seminary ball with are on UVU team and I wante...

Re: Spiff's Spots of Observation and Other Statistical Nonsense
What was the PER for the game for each QB? And how is it that the TE's had RER's over 100 but their average was less than 100?
Thanks for the stats. I always enjoy reading them.
