Re: Utahns, how excited are you about Mitt Romney

I'm curious about "lowering taxes" being the prime thing mentioned here, and not actual numbers. So if in one state, taxes go from 7% to 7.1% to 7.2% to 7.3%, and in another state taxes go from 7% to 20% to 19.9% to 19.8%, will spending be higher in state #2, because in 2 of 3 years taxes were cut?

Re: Utahns, how excited are you about Mitt Romney

Re: The Constitution and the LDS Faith

At the end of the "War", the same outcome happened anyway, with Brigham Young being stripped of public office. Again, do you have a point, or are you just reciting common histor...

Re: The Constitution and the LDS Faith

The Nauvoo Legion was disbanded by the state. It never protected the Saints from mobs, nor did it protect brother Joseph. I'm not sure why it was even brought up.

Re: Smart gun laws

And although students have to pay for a college education, shootings take place at colleges as well.

Re: The Constitution and the LDS Faith

True. All of those things exist in a balance. Too much is bad, and too little is bad. Freedom of speech- There are sensible limits. Crying "bomb" in an airport, or "fire" in a theatre. Libel and slander. Making threats. All limited justly by law. Search and seizure- There are limits. It can be done ...
