Seems generous.
BYU fans are an increasingly cynical lot.
We've been given a lot of fodder.

Seems generous.
Sagarin has us at 57, KenPom at 72. So not THAT generous. BYU fans are an increasingly cynical lot. We won 22 games last year, but it feels like 10, right?
Not making the NCAA tournament and getting blown out on your home court in the first round of the NIT - yes that makes it feel much worse than a 22 win season - which was basically a win over #1 Gonzaga and 21 other fluff teams.

*Edit - the above statement is an over-reaction, but that is how I feel. To me, making the tournament is worth A LOT more than winning a ton of games vs mediocre teams. But to put this in perspective, here is how our team fared last year:

Ok, so maybe it's not as bad as " a win over #1 Gonzaga and 21 other fluff teams" but if you take out our outliers, our single best win (#8 Gonzaga) and single worst loss (#246 Pepperdine), we are no where near an NCAA tournament team.

He has BYU at #87. I think we're better than that but I'm not going to say "much better" until this team proves it to me. No losing to sub 200 RPI teams and multiple top 50 wins are needed.
