Gonzaga is now one win away against a 11 seeded team from getting to the Final Four.
Also, Gonzaga is 4 wins away from a perfect season. Only 3 games left to get it done.

Mika made Karnowski look like a slow oaf out there.
Mika's ability to hit mid/long range 2 point shots was the key to me in this game. He forced karnowski out of the paint which opened up a lot of things for the BYU defense.

I don't know if Mika will hit that type of percentage again.
Mika = 10/14 from the floor for 29 points. That's efficient.

What the F just happened? BYU just knocked off #1 on the road! PAHAHAHA!!!!! This is awesome!
the inexperienced players on our team finally figured it out?
The turning point was when Few got called with that technical with about 12:00 remaining. When the inflappable head coach lost his cool, Gonzaga started falling apart and getting visibly frustrated. BYU was down by 10 (or had just closed to within eight) at that point, and a minute and half later they were within one.

Then Mika threw Karnowski to the floor with 7:42 remaining and sealed the deal. Karnowski only had a couple of touches the rest of the game and Mika had his way from there on out--he made Karnowski look soft with that foul, and the big fella pretty timid after that.
From the two points you mentioned (Few technical & the Mika "toss") BYU outscored Gonzaga 29-13 and 16-9 (granted the 29-13 run does encompass the 16-9 run). Dave Rose got what he wanted: a game where the pressure was on the Zags. They failed to handle it because they hadn't experienced it yet this year. BYU may have made the Zags a better team. We'll see. They don't play for over a week, we could just as easily killed their season.

Rewatched the game this morning and I think the following were important swings in the game:

-Childs looks a step slow all night. But Kaufusi is peaking at the right time. Gonzaga is also a team big enough for the Kaufusi-Mika front line.

-Shaw had 5 turnovers in 8 minutes. His talent isn't ready for the big stage.

-Haws was feast or famine all night. He would torch Williams-Goss and then telegraph his pass. But his 3 pt point shooting was so so important for our confidence in the 1st half.

-What can you say about Mika...he is clearly our best player and might be the best player in the entire conference. He had his 18 foot jumper going tonight and messed up their game plan. It was good to see him guard 4's.

-Emery needs to stop being a 2-11 guy on offense. I don't know if that means he needs to take less shots or just make more.

-Bryant provided some key baskets for us but his 3 pt shooting was subpar again. I think his shot selection was mostly good. He just needs to make one or two more.

Hopefully someone will knock off Saint Mary's for us in the WCC Tourney but we don't matchup well with them.
I just watched the game. I agree with what you said about Emery. He's a gook player but he probably should have passed the ball about 6 more times instead of shooting.

I agree with your assessment of Mika. He gave up 70 lbs to Karnowski but outplayed him. He outplayed everybody. Kaufusi is his best help at this point although I hope Childs fully recovers from his injury, he's needed.

I had this thought: When was the last time the football team beat the number 1 team in the nation?
